    windows wont load..

     
    My dads laptop just stopped loading windows all of a sudden.
    I logon, then the desktop pic appears and nothing... no icons no task bar no start button... How can this be? is there anything i can do?

    See if Windows can boot into safe mode. If it can, open up msconfig and cleanup the startup file. Check for any spyware/viruses.

    click start \ run or window key + R
    type msconfig
    press Enter

    on the msconfig window, click on the startup tab. there you can find all programs loaded during startup.
