I dig the second choice, the iBuyPower - widescreen and a fairly well-known brand with quality components. |

I like the second choice, too. A 9700 is a step down from getting a laptop with a 6800 GO. 1 GB of memory is really nice.

second off the first laptop video card sucks Quote: |
NVIDIA GeForce™ FX Go5700; 128-bit memory interface; support for up to 128MB RAM,
| The ibuypower doesnt say how much it weighs, and the third weighs 7 pounds!!! |

I can tell you the first one is a fishy since there is no such thing as a 120GB laptop drive, let alone a 7200 rpm one. And as GroundZero said, I'm pretty sure selling a lappy with 60 gigs of music and for gigs of DVDs is illegal.
The second and third ones are okay, although I like the second one more. If I were you I'd wait for the new Mobility X800 cards, as well as the new Pentium M procs. From what I've read, the Pentium M's are very worthy proccesors that keep up with a P4 at much lower temps and more battery life. And the X800s are gonna be sick. Good luck in your search!

Yeah, don't even think about bidding on the first laptop. I am surprised that no one has reported that to the Ebay staff yet, because that clearly is: A). illegal or B). a scam. In all likely hood, it is both.
Are you strictly looking to buy the laptop from Ebay only? You could possibly spend some money on a system from a reputable site like Newegg and have the satisfaction of knowing that your laptop is a real one. |

First one is now gone... "removed by eBay"

that's pretty damn overpriced!
it has only 512MB of RAM which isn't sufficient, it's DDR2 which costs a kidney to add another 512MB stick, especially if there are 2x256MB sticks in there now, then you would have to go with a gig stick (if it exists in DDR2, I think it does). x600 vanilla.... pathetic.... just pathetic overall, including that 5400rpm HDD |
