Whenever I do a search on Google, Yahoo, MSN, Excite etc... for the word "poker" it instantly sends me to a site "www.PokerRoom.com"
If I try to visit any site with the word poker in it, such as "Fulltiltpoker.com" or "empirepoker.com" it instantly sends me to "pokerroom.com"
very frustrated, tried adaware and virusscan, cant figure it out!
I tried the hijackthis, worked well, and came up with a file that needs to be removed
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {95CC1D32-DF46-E094-D8E6-0DD880C647DB} - (no file)
however, i treid to remove it several times, and nothing happens...
just keeps reappearing

Did you try passing the log through the sites I provided? They're actually quite good at finding things. This is almost certainly a browser Hijack. It may also be beneficial to run Microsoft AntiSpyware. It finds several things that AdAware and Spybot don't. It's also able to try to restore your browser settings to undo a hijack. |

i ran the hijack log through the two sites, and both of them told me to get rid of this, it is a threat, however when i try to click it and fix file i will run the hijack scan again and it still has the file there, and if i fix it and restart, still there.
I tried running adaware spybot and microsoft antispyware
still get to pokerroom.com... every time...

you may need to turn off system restore ... also its a good idea to clean up all temp files and cookies...
run the adaware proggies again and then run RegscrubXP as well to clean up the registry... then try hijackthis's fix option again... |

do you have some icons on your desktop that you can't move or delete....if you do try lop uninstaller . You should actually try it, even if the icon's aren't there....try that program and see what it does . (it may be recognised as a trojan by u'r av....expect that......idk why but it worked getting rid of the stuff on a clients computer
/edit oh yea....forgot to say...get rid of ie and try something like firefox.....there is a dispute about if ie is actually less secure than firefox or if it's just firefox is less exploited than ie because it is less popular...but either way....there are less security problems at the moment with firefox...so for now...that's what i'd recommend...in the future...that could change!

Try running Hijack This, AdAware, MS AntiSpyware, etc. in safe-mode. Also run CodeStuff Starter and see if anything odd is in the startup. If that still doesn't do it, you likely have a service running that is reinstalling the BHO. I know there is a program that will report any services that are not Microsoft services but I don't remember what it's called. |

Have you tried it in a different browser? Say, Mozilla?
