Can not write to boot sector of a compact flash on Windows
Hi,
I am trying to modify the compact flash boot sector by installing a VxWorks boot loader. When I try to to do this I get an error indicating that the drive is write protected by windows and can not be modified.
Could any one please help me or guide me to any tools or methods that I can use to make this work.
My goal is to write to boot sector of a Compact flash on a Windows (95,98, 2000, or XP).
Thanks for your time.
Regards,
Girish

Thanks a lot for the quick response.
I tried the solution, it works. However, on Windows 2000 the LOCK/UNLOCK commands are not recognized. Do you know whether they are supported in Win 2000 or XP. If not, any alternative.
Thanks,
Girish

Thank you for the swift reply. As far as I can tell there is no NVidia graphics card pre-installed. The system is an every-day-machine intended for Photoshop related work as well as light 3d...
