I have an ultra33 hdd controller in my sys..
I have the Primary master set to the IDE hdd on the motherboard.
The drive on the ultra33 boots first when it is connected..I have tried to get the hdd on the motherboard to boot first with no luck...any thought on how to correct this??

In your BIOS there is a setting to change the order in witch it looks for a boot device. Ensure that your HD on your motherboard is set to boot before the controller card. Your controller card should be identified as a SCSI device. Hope this helps. |

eh... Tried that too..It can be set to IDE or SCSI, I tried it both ways...no luck still boots from the card first...unless I unplug the drive...
It always assigns it to the C: drive... The other drive never shows up when it does.. |

Try it as a last resort then.
Save yourself reinstalling till you've tried everything you can think off |

Kind of board is it? What BIOS has it? In most of the new stuff, there is an option to 'boot other device' (meaning cards).

Note that this is not the same as picking SCSI over IDE1 from the bootlist.
