Windows XP DNS Help Please
I reformated my laptop and installed WinXP along with SP2 and ALL windows updates.
Now for some reason I am no longer able to connect to other computers on my local LAN by their computer name. Yet, I can connect to them using their IP address. This only occurs on the local lan, because I can still ping internet addresses. Everything works fine from all my other computers, so this issue is only happening on my laptop. Also, I did make sure that my firewall was turned off on my laptop and and other computers on my lan. That didn't make any difference....not sure if that would have made a difference anyways.
NEED HELP...this is frustrating!!!!!!!!!!

Are your other computers running SP2? If not then you might have a problem...

That's hilarious GZ! Nothing like a little controversy to get people stirred-up. This will be fun to watch :)
