About that dual monitor thing...

At my office, I use a laptop connected to a Viewsonic 19" LCD display. I can go into display settings and "extend" my desktop back to the laptop display. This gives me 2 monitors with one graphics card/chip (in the laptop).

Is this what you mean when talking about dual monitor setups or are you talking about the need for 2 video cards or 1 card with 2 inputs???

just to be picky and correct, it would be 1 card with 2 outputs... when you start having inputs (like av, catv, etc) then its a completely different set of cards

Nice DVD burner. Just bought three to put in various machines. Be aware though that being OEM it doesn't come with burning software. You will need to spend another $50-100 for the software. I use Nero software but had to upgrade to version 6.6 to get the dual layer capability (Nero 5.5 would not recognize the drive). If you already have Nero you can upgrade it from the Nero website for $50.
If you don't have it you can get it from the website for $70. It cost $100 at a retail store. Link below:

eh, thanks yeah did not realize it didn't come with software. I have a copy of roxio that might work, but will re-assess the situation... or just go get a retail package that has Nero, which might be the better option!
...... update, just checked NewEgg... going with LiteOn retail, comes with Nero + Power DVD 5
