Need help finding a part for Compaq laptop

I need the little black adapter that fits over the laptop hard drive pins and mates to the motherboard. I don't know what its called, but i've attached a couple pictures. The one in the picture is off a dell laptop, but the one that came off the compaq is very similar. The model in question is a Presario R3140. I've spent hours on the phone with compaq/hp and talked with three different departments, apparently no one there as ever taken a laptop drive out so they have no idea what i'm talking about. They tried to sell me a new laptop motherboard, and a new laptop drive, and still couldn't gaurantee that it would have this piece. Anyway, any help is greatly appreciated.
