Help building my first computer!

Alright guys, so I am brand spankin new to building my own computer and am workin on a budget gamer. I've installed ram/video cards/power supplies/hard drives etc. but never assembled a whole computer. Hopefully it's all the same right, just plug and pray juuust kidding, anyways. I've got a list made up and my total is at about $670 right now after rebates etc. I've got about an 800-900 dollar budget so was lookin for advice about parts i chose/what to get with that extra $200 bucks. Thanks in advance guys and i am amazed at the amount of help newbs like me are given. P.S. No video card listed because i just bought a 6600GT like 2 months ago.

Welcome to the forum!

just take your time when assembling...be aware of static when touching things...for instance hold the motherboard/vid card/ram by the edges and try not to touch the metal at all etc

sit down and take your time and read through the manual first, lol

And build on a hard surface (preferably not a table that food will get near to) I made the fatal mistake of building on a bed. *snif* goodby radeon 9800 pro.

yep..have to be a little careful and take your time....

be careful if you try to use a screwdriver to pry/push down the heatsink/fan tabs etc....it is easy to slip and end up with a hole in the motherboard

He already has a 6600GT.

Probably AGP as that's what the board he chose supports.

why are you buying two power supplys? you have one in case, and getting one separate
