water damage
guys, i spilt wate ron my mouse
its all good apart from the right click button no longer works. any chance of revival, ive just had it under the hair dryer for a little bit and its done no good, think im best leaving it over night? think it might revive?

you can actually take them apart to dry them fairly easily. or you can leave it to dry for a day or so. might work might not.

spray or dip the circuit board with alcohol and then dry it out. Alcohol blends with water (same specific gravity) and then will evaporate...should remove any small traces of water inside.
The reason the right click does not work is because the water went down the tiny shaft to the switch...you need to get some alcohol down into that switch and then blow it some more with the hair dryer..but use caution..do not get got!

well the right clicks still not working lol, had time to dry, guessill ave to buy a new mouse..................sigh

Hopefully that watered mouse wasn't a really nice expensive one. I'd buy a new one if a button stopped working.

IMHO, don't skimp on your (keyboard and) mouse. The two most used pieces of hardware and they should be as comfortable and reliable as possible. So if you are going to upgrade, upgrade to something good.

Be thankful that water did not spill over your whole system lol. I have a water cooler and if it leaks then... uh oh
