Question about sound card drivers

I have SB Audigy 2 from dell.

Im getting a driver_IRQL problem with a file name that points to a sound blaster driver.

I try updating the driver from creative.com but everytime i try to install it...it says "Could Not Find any Audigy 2 hardware"

Dell told me that i can only DL their drivers, not creatives...

Well their drivers are screwed up. Is there a way to bypass the dell imprint on the audigy 2 card?

that's bs bout only using the dell drivers afaik. it's ok my friend was told to download the dell drivers like 20 times.....turns out dell didn't have the drivers...they were making him download a driver patch (how can you patch a driver that's not installed is my question....lol) I'd completely uninstall the hardware from device manager and then reinstall the sb drivers

Thats what i was wondering.

If i uninstall the hardware and reinstall it. Would i still be forced into using dell drivers?

when you reinstall it don't let windows choose the drivers manually, select to pick your own drivers

is there a different PCI slot you can try it in?

Ya, i have 3 pci E slots and 3 pci slots.

The only in normal pci is the sound
