Greetings all,
I'm new to this forum and was hoping you could help me out with a recent hardware problem I've been confronted with.
I'm a VJ, which means I have to haul a lot of video and computer gear around, and last night I was getting home pretty late and fumbling with a lot of gear. I managed to drop my 21.3" LCD monitor about 4 fee... onto cement.
Now I give the monitor credit for how well it took the fall. I expected the LCD would have cracked, but thankfully only the case did.
There was damage though.
The monitor now has a permanent vertical line of green pixels. The line is located just left of center, runs from the topmost pixel to the bottommost pixel, and is bright green.
Is this type of LCD damage repairable?
I know repairs can be costly, but it’s a pretty good monitor aside from that damage, and since I do a lot of game design/graphic design/animation/video editing, I can’t really work with this monitor any more.
Thanks in advance for any help!
