Check your connections.
Make sure your mouse and keyboard are plugged in correctly.
Got a friend with a Win98 CD and a startup disk? | Can't type a thing, all connections are good. |

You have to boot from the disk, hit F10 or what ever pops up at the screen to go to boot menu, then select CD rom drive. |

Now I am in a screen titled Amibios Simple Setup Utility Version 1.16. It lists 10 options from there:
Standard CMOS Setup, Advanced CMOS Setup, Advanced Chipset Setup, Power Management Setup, PCI / Plug and PLay Setup, Load Optional Settings, Load Best Performance Settings, Peripheral Setup, Change Supervisor Password, and Auto-Detect Hard Disks. |

Set your cd drive to a higher priority the our hard drive (which will either be called hdd or ide) |

Set your cd drive to a higher priority the our hard drive (which will either be called hdd or ide) | Andy, It was in advanced. I set the 1st Boot Device to CDRom, and the 2d to IDE-0.
Then the bootup screen reads:
Pri Master HDD Error
Pri Slave HDD error
Run SETUP
Press F1 to resume.
So I pressed F1 and it says Boot Failure. Reboot and select proper Boot device. |
