| Good vid cards on the market
Right now have a Gf4 Ti4200, and it's starting not to cut it. Only problem is that I have a 4x chipset, don't have the spare money right now to do much about it. Anyways I was wanting to know some of the better AGP cards on the market, in the 200 and under range. I know with the 4x chip set I want get my boom for my buck yet, but I'm wanting the pixel shader capabilities.

The walmart around here has a 256 card for under 200, I was hopin to double the Vram also. The 4200 already has 128.
Opions are nice, links help some be word of mouth is better.
Thx for the help |

Your 4200 is better than the 5200. Either the eVGA 6800 that EXreaction linked or a 6600GT would be your best bets. The amount of ram isn't as important as type of ram - like the 128mb of GDDR3 on the 6600GT. |

that's the type of opinion I wanted to hear, any more advice, anyone?
"like the 128mb of GDDR3 on the 6600GT"
How can I tell what type of DDR it has, seems like most spects just say 128/256mb ddr and nothing more.
thanks

How much more power is this eVGA going to suck up?
I'm running a home built computer with
MSI KT3 ultra2 board
Amd athlon 2000+
Volcano heatsink
3 sticks of ram
60/40 gig drives 2 hdd fans
case fan
Ti4200 Vcard
dvd burner and a cdrom, floppy
and a nic I can pull out but that's not much
Also have those, extra two USB hook ups that came with the board.
On a 300walt intel PSU
Damn, another five bucks I have to spend. Just had to jump start my chipset fan with my finger. That's already the second one, and it doesn't even snap into place. But it has stayed on without a problem.
thanks, for any advice.
