    Compression questions for Music

well, i just got a 512 MB SD card for my Tungsten E2.

and well, what would be the best way to maximize space for music.

ive seen some of my songs are variable bit rate, id assume that saves space?
how can i make some small mp3s without losing quality, thanks.

You most definately want to use a variable bit rate over a constant bit rate. What formats does the Tungsten accept?

try ripping your music to mp3 format in 92bit using musicmatch or other similar software.

    between 2-3MB

I personally think 96kbs sucks big time. Almost anyone can tell the difference between 128 and 96.
