You do not need Nero open. |

Open Shrink. Do not have Nero open. Select 'full disc', 'open disc', choose drive, select 'backup', select target drive (your burner). |

Okay, I did all of this . . . buutt . . . do I now take the DVD movie disc out, and then put a blank DVD+R disc in, to burn it? And then click 'Backup' again, to 'encode' it, or whatever? o_O |

The dvd has to encode, then it will ask for a blank disc to burn onto. |

Everything works perfectly now! It actually is quite a simple process, I admit. But, at the time, I was just so confused as to what to do (be a bit new to this all). ^^ Well, thank you very much for helping me all the way! My first two DVDs burned were a success! |

DVD Shrink is great. Easy when you know how. Now try playing with the Re-Author function, and see what you can do. Like a movie with no trailers, FBI warnings, superfluous sondtracks or subtitles and no pathetic extras. Just 100% movie, the way your grandparents used to get to watch them. |

LilGeo, it is not illegal to make a backup of a copyrighted disc that you own for your own personal use. | Actually..the thing is it MIGHT be considered illegal The law basically states you CAN make backups of movies that you own, and another states you can't go around the protective encryption. So..it's a gray area that doesn't include a specific law..so some backup and some don't. I say burn away..but that's just me.
Disclaimer: This was the rule/discussion/argument about 3 months ago..maybe it's changed since then? I haven't really kept up with it..because I burn movies reguardless.. |
