Native resolution on LCD monitors

Hey people

Ive got a 19" TFT screen and i think the native resolution is like 1280 x 1024 or something. This runs fine for me in windows however when I play a game this is too high for my PC to handle. If i use a lesser resolution like 1024 x 768 or 800 x 600 wont this make the screen look fuzzy??

Thanks

You can generally keep fuzziness to a minimum by pressing the Auto Adjust button which can be found on a lot of lcd monitors, every time you see a mode change. For most people, that will be when you start or exit a game.

With a nice high resolution monitor, the fall-off in quality going to a lower resolution is pretty minimal. I have a 19" running at 1280x1024 and images at 800x600 look fine. It's when you look at things like small text that non-native resolution looks poor.

Ditto with my 17". I play BF2 all the time with the resolution at 1024x768. The text problem can usually be improved by adjusting your refresh rate.

Friedchicken, I also play BF2 and want to buy a 17" LCD. Are you having good results? What model do you have?
