    Computer security

     
    I have one computer that i have to leave in a semi public area and would really like to have it set up so that i will not boot with out a specific floppy/pen drive/CD (is this even possible). I also do not want someone to beable to boot off their floppy/CD and access the HD. any suggestions on a system to do this?

    i have to look more into this looks good just need to see if someone removes the USB dongle is the puter still locked??

    I was thinking that there would be a program on the pc to stop that, but for a bit of extra security, something like the add-in USB2 card I have, which presents 4 ports to the back of the PC, but also has an internal port. Hide the dongle away inside the PC case, if it is a desktop.

    Pual basicially i want to remove the USB dongle and take it with me or only have my lab personel have access to it. Without the dongle then the computer would be usless to someone??
