CMOS Battery

I have an ASUS motherboard model A7M366. It contains a Maxwell 3 volt battery Model CR20232. Where can I find a replacement or will any dime size battery be o.k.. Thanks for your advise.

umm... RadioShack.. the CR2032 are a standard for most motherboards... or walmart or any place that has a decent selection of batteries... you have to have the same voltage and the size of the 2032 is big enough that it has the voltage and has enough juice to last

WalMart's own batteries are Chinese junkers most of the time. Don't buy Chinese button cells if you want them to last. Good name-brand ones like Energizer, Panasonic, Sony, Duracell; made in Japan, USA or Switzerland are the way to go. Should be under $3. just about everywhere. I replace mine at 2.9V or less tested in circuit with the computer unplugged.
And be sure to get the CR version not the BR (they are nearly the same physical size). The CR ones have much more mAh capacity.

Look again, I'd bet its a 2032, as that is very much the standard. Or was that a typo?

The good thing is that you can buy them at many grocery stores and other places like that.
