pc wont start

i have tryed to plug evrything aprt from the mother board and the psu does nothing. i think this could be a problem with the motherboard. but iam not shure

hi problem started when i went to use my pc and i had left it on so when i returnd the screen was blank the pc seemed to be off as when i moved the mouse or pushed keys on the keyboard there was nothing so i pushed the power button and held it for more than 8 seconds and it would not do nothing as there is a green light permently on i asume the pc still has power in some way or some how it got stuck in sleep mode or somthing. Thats all the history hope you can help.

its a power supply issue. switch out the psu for one that you know works. post the outcome

i have already tested the psu and that works on another pc?

Try removing the power plug from the back. Press on the power button on the front a few times, then hold it for 10 seconds. Let go and reinsert the power plug into the back and try starting up. Sometimes when there's a power failure or a spike, you have to reset the motherboard/PSU power and get rid of any residue charges.
