| Legality of selling used software on Ebay
I want to sell my used, uninstalled version of MS Office 2000 SMB because I saw the AWESOME prices that the new ones are going for.
As I said, it is uninstalled and not in use (I'm using Premium).
Is this legal to sell it even though I have used it before?
Others have told me it is lega, I just want to double check. |

Ok thanks Groundzero.
I figured it was, but I didn't want to do anything "bad" on Ebay
CE - if you're selling Office 2k SBE, set your prices a bit lower than this other dude (auctions start @ $155, buy it now around $175)....because he's flooded the market with them |

Well...
Here is a small auction trick my wife discovered a few years back...
Wait for a holiday wekkend to approach, then check out the dutch auctions that are ending that weekend. Since the users will be away for the weekend the bidding will be very slow.
We got a copy of Office 97 Professional (in '98) this way for $10. The complete program (not an upgrade), and had the option for up to ten copies... Should have bought them... |

Well Warty, you could always do what I do.(if you remember) Well, maybe not. Forget I ever said that. Don't need anybody cutting in on my profits.

it depends of the EULA of the program... an example is 3d studio max... you are not allowed to re-sell it... once you buy it... the Lic is only good for the orginal buyer. (this is the way it was up too 3.1 duno about v4) I have seen it on E-bay before for sale but according too their lic that illegal.. personally I think it's kind of lame... you spend $3,500 on software but you can't sell it if you don't like it.
