Does the motherboard beep? If u just put the computer together, ur CPU might not be fully inserted in the socket.

does that motherboard have onboard video? If it does, try using onboard video first. cuz it'll prioritize onboard rather than the card u have. If the onboard doesn't work, try using another monitor. If the monitor doesnt work, all i can say is the motherboard is dead. |

quick and easy...
pull the board out of the case set it on a phone book or something none conductive leavinf the power supply connected you'll need to connect the power buttons as well{always forget to mention that}. leave in only the cpu/hs/fan one stick of memory and a vid card if there is no onboard unplug the power supply from the wall and clear the cmos using the jumpers if there are some if not pull the battery out
replace the battery and give it a try, this will rule out grounding in the case

fsb is front side bus as u stated of 266Mhz. You may have to set ur jumper on ur motherboard to 266Mhz FSB. Not sure but ur motherboard might have jumpers for different FSB settings like 266, 533, 800 FSB. |
