it does, however, seem to be malfunctioning.

NOT all "included" PSU's are bad at all...
Antec and Thermaltake are the obvious exceptions, as well as a few others...
Try not to dispense advice in absolutes... there are few out there... and usually several people that will dispute them. |

I have seen cases costing $35 with antec power supplies installed, are you telling me that that power supply is not a cheap one? You're right, those two brands, that you mention, and enermax are my preferred brands, antec is one of the best, but the ones that come with cases, as a package, I would hold as suspect, and would not trust any of them in my systems.

If you have a muiltimeter you can check the voltages being outputted by the suspect PSU. If they are below the specs Antec has provided they will replace it. If you are not handy with a multimeter maybe you can find a neighbourly electrician who is? The specs are quite clearly written in the PSU manual, or can be gotten from the Antec site as well.
I have an Antec PSU tester which will allow you test PSU's. Very handy little gadget; many PC stores have one. If you have a small PC repair store near, maybe the tech there will check it for you before you send it back to antec?
Whilst Antec are a good makes of PSU's, they can have problems. I have a Minuet II case that the PSU died in in less than 6 months. Antec are currently replacing it, via my local PC shop, under warranty.
Cheers
Mick
edit: This explains how to do this.

Antec PSU's are great when they come with cases......Yes you are right that some cases come with generic PSU's..... but this is not always...such as in my case...
Mick....
I tested with multimeter and all power rails are exact exept the 12v rail.. It read's 10.89 instead 12v....What does this mean

if your getting a reading that low from a multimeter, then that is way below spec, and most likely your problem...
the +12V rail is really the most important on current systems and if thats the one thats low, that would cause all kinds of issues |
