Im currently planning my first build for a computer, and am taking quite a big risk. the only thing ive ever done to my current computer was install RAM. and i had problems with that

So yes, heres all the parts ive selected so far im hoping you guys can confirm that they would all work together and are the best choices for the price.

Im from England, UK. So my budget is £500.

And im using sites like;

i dont know alot about computers myself but i think the cooling should be in the psu in the case? or i think u've sorted that out. what is the main use of the pc going to be? gaming? music?

im sure others will fill in the gaps for you! im building/modding my own pc at the moment and im having the same worries about compatability.

Well its mainly going to be a gaming rig to replace my current

1.4Ghz AMD Athlon

512mb Ram

GeForce3 Ti200 64mb

80GB HD

I mainly want to play Half Life 2 with better results.

Well its good to hear im not the only one worried about compatability, hopefully ill get some good replies and be able to go ahead with buying.

I'd strongly recommend going with a sata harddrive, a motherboard using an nforce4 chipset of any time (regular, ultra, or sli, your choice) and going with the pci-express graphics card. Also, maybe a nicer psu!! Other than that, everything else looks good so far (but i looked quick so I'd wait for someone who looks over it a little better before you order!)
