Best kind of 512mb RAM?

I'll be getting two 512mb RAM, what's the best kind for not expensive? I know there's timings? What's a good timing because I see like 2-2-23 and stuff. I will use my computer mostly for gaming.

if its 2-2-2-3 thats crazy lol, but if you get somethin in the range 2.5-3-3-7 thats fine, oh yeah.. get geil(cheap at newegg.com) good for a stable nice system, but you can always go with corsair, or something more exotic.

I would always go with Kingston RAM to tell you the truth. Lifetime warrenty is the best! You don't even have to pay shipping to RMA it..

I wouldn't reccommend 2.5 as it's somewhat ancient. If you're buying anything new why settle for something that's obviously not even on par with common machines. It's a big difference from cas 2 RAM. Up to you though. Obviously you'll save a lot by going 2.5.

cas 2.5 and 2 make barley any difference...very few people can notice it, if any and for almost double the price its never worth it
