Hello I have an very small but disturbing problem. You see that the icons on the desktop Have like a color around the name. And on the most others computers there is invisible. Like you see the bacgroung through the text.
But my question is how do I fix it? Anyone that got an idea please post it up asap?
Thank's in advence yall.
And btw; I have windowsblinds installed on the computer. But I think that it diden't work before that either.

Which operating system do you have? Sounds like something I know from the Windows 98 days. |

What does windowsblinds do? Is that a theme software? That could be the cause of this, perhaps look at the settings?
Was it always like this or is this a new thing? |

Yes, windowsblinds is a theme software. And I have looked thru all the settings but found nada. And no, this is not a new thing I think. You see that i'm usually disabeling the icons so I can see the whole back pic cuz I think it looks cleaner. haha. But a change is good so now I want to have the icons visible. |

Sounds like maybe the desktop color is showing through the icon labels. To double check, go to your Display Properties, and under the tab that says "Desktop" look to see what color the little box is, and if it's the same as what you're seeing around the labels then that's it. To get rid of it, you need to turn on drop shadows by going into Control Panel --> System --> Advanced Tab --> Performance Settings button --> Visual Effects tab --> then check the box that says "Use drop shadows for icon labels on the desktop." Hope this helps |
