Need help! WIndows XP Regedit!

Need some help. Whenever I go to open regedit it will not open. A old school MSdos style box pops up and then does nothing. Have no idea how to fix it. Any help would be great!

Running Windows XP SP2

Regedt32 is in windows/system32, regedit is in windows, I think they are the same.

Did you or can you go to the folder and double click the icons or did you do it with a run box command?

Was using run box command.

See if it works going to the icon in the windows folder.
