Okay, do you have a floppy in the floppy drive, if you even have a floppy drive? Do you have the CD/DVD ROM set as the primary boot device? |

it should pop up at some point and say press any key to boot to cd. If you don't see that then you need to go into the bios and make sure both the cd drive and harddrive are both recognised! Then, you need to make sure u'r set to boot to cd first, then floppy, then harddrive preferably. the most important though is the cd first...if the harddrive is second and whatever then that's fine....cd first!! lol. Once that's all set you should deff see the press any key to boot to cd message, and if not, then we have other issues. |

As stated above, set boot order to boot from CD-ROM as "first boot device." I set my other devices to "disabled," but not everyone will do that. It's a little redundant I suppose. Anway, XP CD-ROM will prompt for formatting. |

Press F11 and select your CD rom as the booting device in the menu that pops up. Remember to look out for the "Press any key to boot from CD" message. You only get a few seconds. |
