    What browser are you using?

IE - Delete AutoCompile history, click the Delete under Browsing History on the general tab in Internet Options.

FF - Tools / Options / Privacy / Saved forms Delete

Haven't used Netscape in ages, but will if you need it.

ran cc program, autocomplete etc. etc. even another program that had a trial period. None worked, hit a letter in my adress bar and a bunch of links pop up that I went to before.

If you are using IE open your browser and click on tools, internet options. Near the botom right hand corner you will see a button that says clear history. Click that. While you are there you can set how long you want to save the history. If you don't want to save any set it to zero.

Is there a way to delete just one email address as opposed to clearing the whole thing?

This post concerns deleting the addresses in the history folder not the email folder but to answer your question mcgregor if you want to delete just one email in your inbox right click on the email you want to delete and you will see a delete button. Click on that and it will just delete the one email.

No, the point is about the autocomplete history, not the page history. Deleting history in IE6 will not delete the addresses that popup when you type in the address bar. How to clear autocomplete history has already been described by 1 or 2 posters above, so I will not reiterate.

Are you sure VHockey86? It looks to me that is what he is asking. Auto Complete saves more than just the addresses. Deleting the history removes the old links for me.

Edit: In case I did misunderstand your question, Burts, the link below will tell you how to turn off or limit what is stored in the Auto Complete history:

I apologize, it seems they changed IE with SP2 so that removing regular history deletes autocomplete address links (it didn't back when I used to use IE).

No problem VHockey86. It certainly wouldn't have been the first time I misunderstood a question.
