| PCI card with PS2 (mouse / Keyboard) connectors
Need your help.
I have a user that uses a ergonomic keyboard with ps2 connectors for the keyboard and built in touchpad. The internal software requires a straight though PS2 connector to the PC in order to function properly. A PS@ to USB converter WILL NOT WORK.
None of the available desktop computers have PS2 connectors
Any idea if PCI cards exist that have PS2 connectors for a mouse and keyboard???
Thanks.

Steff | Are the available computers older models without a PS2 port and use an AT style keyboard or are they newer computers that utilize USB keyboard and mouse?
Back in the days of socket 7 boards PC Chips had an add-on pci card that had a PS2 port on it.

An external PS2 to USB converter will not work (Per the keyboard manufacturer)
that is why I am looking for a PCI card that supports PS2 connectors.
All the avialbale computers are new (past year) and do not have any PS2 connectors, only 8 USB available and 3 PCI slots. |

Think a kvm switch would work?
I just searched for a bit and couldnt find a PCI card. Proly dont exist, since there are so many cheap adapters and cables. I cant understand why it wouldnt work for you...
Edit: Found something. http://www.frontx.com/cpx109_2.html
Do you need a 5pin or a 6pin?
