You could have a password protection system. Right click on the desktop and go to Properties
> Screen Saver > Display Welcome Screen on return. Then set the Screen saver time down.
That's all I can think of. |

I'll look into this a bit more and let you know if i find anything out via private msg.
Good luck! |

You will have to create another user account to utilize that feature.... period... | i found this thread a little confusing...i have my pc set up with one user account and tried to swith users as you did and it takes me back to my p/w logon screen as JP said...if your not wanting anybody else snooping on your pc while your away...all i can suggest is to password protect your account and before you leave go to desktop properties screen saver tab and reduce the time to 1 minute and check the box that says (on resume, display welcome screen)...the only way to get back into windows at this point is to retype you p/w. also you may want to make sure your administrator account is p/w protected. on welcome screen two ctl, alt.deletes opens up the window that lets you get into the admin account.

Most of the big manufacturers shipped their boxes with blank admin passwords, making it terribly easy to gain unwanted access to those machines exposed to the internet.
You can also manage the administrator password and account with TweakUI, as i stated before. |
