My question is derived from the example shown below. The numbers listed in A need to be listed and a total of each occurrence. Also needed is to list by total of M. So in essence it look like this.

Are you trying to count the number of values in the column? Sum the numbers in the column?

What I am trying to do is, my coulmn A is a string of numbers 10 digits long. They maybe repeated. I need to count how many times they are repeated. Next I need to count diffrent columns by specific numbers. So if my number in column A is 1000 and it is listed 10 times, I need to show at the bottom if the spread sheet number 1000 was listed 10 times. Then I need to gather totals by column.
So each time 1000 is listed, in column M it has a value of 40, I need to add each value, all 10 times.

So basically you're just trying to count all the duplicate cells in a column?

So if you have 1000 rows in columns A, and half of them are "1" and the other half are "2", you want to print out

"There were 500 '1's " and "There were 500 '2's "???

Sound like a job for the "Pivot Table". You can use the count function to count how many times each number is repeated. Go to "Data" then "Pivot Table and Pivot Chart Report" to start the wizard.
