| Advice needed for first PC build
Hi all!
I'm going to build my first PC soon, so I'd be really grateful for some advice. Below are two configurations I'm looking at. I'm not too bothered about overclocking (not with my limited ability), nor am I interested in going down the Crossfire/SLi route. I do want a farly good gaming PC that's gonna last for 3 years or so before it's time to upgrade. My budget is around the £850 area. If you have any comments about which PC would be better or any suggestions on alternative items they will be most gratefully received. Thanks in advance! Config 1 - Motherboard: MSI AM2 K9N Plaltinum NF570 Mobo
- CPU: Athlon X2 4600+
- Graphics: Leadtek 7900GTX Extreme 512Mb
Config 2 - Motherboard: Gigabyte GA 965P-S3 i965 Mobo
- CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E6400
- Graphics: Sapphire Radeon X1900XT 512Mb
Common to both- Memory: 2Gb Corsair TwinX XMS2 DDR2 667MHz
- HDD: 250Gb Samsung SPinpoint SATA300
- Supply: 530W HiperPower Type R
- Case: Enermax Chakra ECA3050
