reliable company?
hey imos,
need to purchase an exteranl harddrive. i found this one for cheap, but i wanna be sure its reliable, since i am trusting it with my precious information. the comapny is comstar. had anyone had any experince with them?

Comstar is just a 3rd string packager - what brand and model of HDD is in there? I'll bet you can't find out. Then you see it's purchaser rating is less than 60% I made my own for less than $75. US and it works fine. I'd suggest you do the same. Then you'll know the quality of the drive, etc.

I agree with zepper. Go to Newegg or TigerDirect. You can buy a drive and enclosure with IDE to USB plugs for the same price or less and know exactly what you have. There is no skill involved in putting one of these jobs together.
