| Ordering parts tonight are the parts compatable/any final thoughts?
I made a thread earlier about what parts to get but the thread is dead so thats why I decided to just make a new one. Here are the parts I'm getting.
Motherboard: http://tinyurl.com/ylaetl
RAM: http://tinyurl.com/yavhen
Processor: http://tinyurl.com/fho9a
Video Card: http://tinyurl.com/yhorj8
Power Supply: http://tinyurl.com/daebz
Hard Drive: http://tinyurl.com/nxuvq
Case: http://tinyurl.com/ajoly
One of my biggest concerns is that the case has 2 intake fans and no exhaust, I could easily change it or is it good how it is? And the biggest concern about the case is that if I close the front how will the front fan get air? Is there an opening I'm not seeing or something? In one of the reviews someone mentioned it pops off, but I don't really wanna pop it on and off all the time. Also are there more openings in the case for extra fans if I ever decide I need some? The main reason I made this thread though is to make 100% sure that the parts are compatable and bring out the full capabilities of each part. Please look at every detail to make sure it is compatable. I researched a lot and I feel that they are compatable but I need to be 100% sure before such a big purchase, this is a lot of money for me... thanks
EDIT: I know I'll sound like a noob but what dis the difference between a Mid Tower and a Full Tower? I;m guessing the size... I have a dell dimension 8100 is that a mid tower or a full tower?

Looks good. Quote:

1 x 120mm front fan (intake)
1 x 120mm rear fan (intake)
Should be this(This is the way it should come when you buy it, though you can plug the fan in and check when you get it and turn it around if needed):
1 x 120mm front fan (intake)
1 x 120mm rear fan (exhaust)
Plus the exhaust on the power supply... Quote:

Nice build. The case will be fine. It has both 120mm intake and 120mm exhaust fans.
Full tower cases are quite a bit taller and longer than mid tower cases. Your Dell is a mid tower.

Why would they prebuild a case with 2 intakes? All I have to do is unscrew the fan and turn it around then rescrew it right? Then it will be exhaust correct? And what about my question on the front fan, does the case front door always gotta be open? |

Yea, if the rear fan is blowing in, is easy enough to unscrew it and flip it around.
Usually there is an opening at the bottom front of the case that allows the fan to draw in air. |

Also another noob question I got a grounding wrist strap, do I just plug it onto any metal piece of my computer case(the one Im on now)? Do I have to leave the power cord plugged in or do I take it out? I know the comp has to be off. |

Yup, clip that strap to the metal chassis.
Always unplug a computer before doing any work inside of it! |

why would you ground yourself on a different system?
what I do is connect the wrist strap to the case while it is still plugged in, then I unplug the power and begin working
