get rid of My Web Search

how do ya get rid of it? i suddenly appeared to the left of the address bar in internet explorer... quite irritating and usless. it always apears like 2 months or so after reformatting any computer. and i dun see it on other ppls computers.. and its part of ie i think. how i get rid of it?

It's an anti-spyware/ad-ware program. It should get rid of the 'my web search'.

it din load. dunno why but it took forever to load that page and so i just ran spybot and it got rid of it. anw thanks for ya help

Spybot is a good choice to remove annoying things, use with Ad Aware because they don't have the same database.

Glad that you don't have it anymore.

try the adaware, it'll probably find alot more crap on your computer. A quick fix would be: start/run, msconfig, check in startup and see if there's a 'mywebseach' entry you can unclick.

wow, i never knew you could do that. cool, thats so useful, when ya got funny things that start with windows. i always find it so cool that peple knw all these obscure commands... how didja know that anw?

My Web Search can also be removed by using the Add/Remove Program feature in Windows and for added reliability run the Spybot after you do that. If you don't then you get that MWSBAR message that gets annoying. Glad you got rid of it anyway.
