    Windows Media Player 11

I just reinstalled operating system and have installed media player 11, however on my regular wmv files when i play them its extremly dark. If I brighten the video thers no color and is not clear. Seems like I need a codec or something, but cant seem to find any one that I need on the wmv sites etc.

When I turn off the video acceleration, it comes very clear and bright, but 7 seconds after that the brightness get darker. If I turn up the brightness its just not the same as when i first turn off the video acceleration.

I had the same problem, video very dark, red, highly saturated.
It's a problem with the Nvidia driver. (I assume it's a Nvidia card as you have an XFX 7800 listed in your specs)

Try these drivers, it worked for me.
