RF MODULATOR
I just found out about this RF modulator thing and sounds quite handy. Could someone give me some info on which one to get and where I could get it. South Africa.
I basically want my pc to send out this frequency that my HIFI can tune into to play everything being played by WINAMP. Range of bout 40m.
PLease assist.

You mean an FM transmiter? These types of devices are quite common to connect Ipods, cdplayers, etc. to car and home stereos. The only problem is that they are all very low power and very short range. The transmitter for my ipod doesn't work well past about 10m. The FCC in the US doesn't allow for higher power unlicensed FM transmitters... they may potentially interfere with commercial operators.
FM also has limited fidelity, so the audio quality will suffer compared to a wired connection.

I am in South Africa and I found a place that sells them and they say that this RF thing has a range of 40m. Price is R400.00. I hope this works.
