| There is probably already a thread about this but i couldn't find it.. Is Internet Explorer 7 faster then 6? I would have thought there would have been no difference at all in performance, or that 6 would be faster. My internet seems to be running 50% faster then when i had 6 installed (maybe I just had tones of spyware/adware installed in 6). Another couple of questions: · Is 7 more secure then 6? · Is IE7 better then Mozilla or opera now?
Cheers

Yes IE7 is more secure, but I figure it runs slower than IE6. |

IE 7 loads pages about 2x as fast as IE6 for me but still slower than FF2.0 you just need to tweak the IE7 settings and turn off the phishing function. For me some pages look better in IE7 than they do in FF and there are still a few pages that FF still won't render correctly and some sites I use that won't run FF at all.
a decent read Ie7vsFF2vsOpera
there are probably a ton other articles on the web and a few threads here already. As for security right now I think Opera is leading the way with FF 2nd and IE of course dragging behind

Yeah that phishing function is what makes it slower, but its a nice security option =] |
