Color Printer help

I have an Epson Stylus Color 440 that I haven't used in about a year and since I just got a new Kodak DX3900 digital camera, I thought I would fire the printer up and print some pretty pictures.

Well the beastly printer does strange things.
First off, the print heads, slam all the way to the left of the carriage and sits there for a bit.
Then it makes a grinding noise, and the heads slowly move to the center of the carriage and stop with
all the lights on. The book says that all lights on means a paper jam, but there is no jam.

You know, now as I mention it, this beast only cost $40.00, so I think I will just ditch it and get something new.
Though what to do with those new cartridges.

Any recommendations on a decent color printer but not too expensive, say $200.00 max.

thanks

the HP-940 sell for $149.00 at Circuit City.
You could probabbly find it cheaper elsewhere.

Good all around printer that does good with photos also

You may want to take a look at the Lexmark Z53, I believe they are under $200 right now, and they are photo quality.......

Thanks

Dusty. I have been googling around looking at all kinds of printers. Newegg has the Epson C80 for $157, and says that there is a $30.00 Mfgrs. rebate. This is very tempting.
