Amazing! Now that's a revolutionary device. I'm been waiting for something like this to come out for a long time... a touch screen ipod! Plus they've thrown in the phone part and 3G technology. Should be amazing. |

I have a $50 mp3 player, a free phone, and I don't need an wireless internet communicator. Sounds like an expensive toy for some people to blow money on! |

heres another link, i just got home and saw this in the news part of PhoneScoop.com... Looks awesome, and thats about the time im going to be getting a new phone, i would like a phone however that is a PDA, but i dont know how well the iPhone will work for things like email etc... so i still might be better off going with the 8525 from Cingular.. which is who i currently have and Cingular will be the exclusive provider of the iPhone

It's pretty cool, and a step in the right direction for sure... I don't like touchscreens much because of the contamination thing... I even tried not to use my Ipod if I hadn't washed my hands right before, so I didn't get dirt on it, since it can be hard to clean without scratching.
I probably won't be getting one... I'd get more use out of a good ballhead and plates for my cameras, which incidentally would cost the same. |

and their being sue ! http://blogs.zdnet.com/BTL/?p=4270
"Today’s announcement from Cisco regarding our suit with Apple over our iPhone trademark has spurred a lot of interesting questions. Most importantly, this is not a suit against Apple’s innovation, their modern design, or their cool phone. It is not a suit about money or royalties. This is a suit about trademark infringement"

Yep, I for one am glad they are being sued for trademark infringement. They easily deserve it after all the people they have sued for having the word pod in their names.
Also, the iPhone looks nice...but it also looks like crap for a phone. Looks more like a PDA than a dang phone.
Apple dropped the ball on it's foot this time...and I for one will laugh as it causes massive damage(I hope Cisco doesn't go easy on them, they tried to be nice in the first place and Apple stabbed them in the back)! |
