Whoa is me (need new build advice)

It arrived on friday and I felt as giddy as a kid on christmas moring. My brand new Geforce 8800 GTS. Oh...happy..day. I now know a new level of frustration. As I pulled off the side of my gateway case to pop this monster card in...horror washed over my face. It would not fit. Shame on me for buying a name brand pc when I know how to build one. I suppose I deserved this. Seems like the btx case/mobo doesn't agree with the size of the card. So there is only one thing to do in a situation like this. I have to build a gaming pc around this $400 video card.

Now I have a nice 21" widescreen monitor, gaming keyboard (logitech g15), and a nice mouse. But the last pc I built was about 4 years ago with my trusty AMD xp 2500+ barton. So I need some help on figuring out what kind of case, mobo,psu,ram,etc... to buy so that I can compliment this 8800GTS properly. I've pretty much decided I want to go with an E6400 core 2 duo processor. Looks like the right bang for the buck. I guess the mobo and PSU are probably the biggest concern. I have about $800 to spend on all the components, but if I can come away cheaper, I'd be very happy. I also don't know much about raid arrays, raid controllers, or ide controllers, so any help there would be most appreciated.

Alex288288: He knows how to build a PC, and would save a considerable amount doing it himself.

You can reuse your CD-rom, and HD if you want.
You have to get DDR2 memory. DDR2 800 would be optimal but DDR2 667 would be just fine.
2GB would help with the newest games, but if the budget doesnt allow you can just add a GB later.
A 120$ mobo will do just fine.

You want to get a PSU by a quality company: FSP Group, Silverstone, Enermax, OCZ, SeaSonic, etc.
A 500W would proly be sufficient, but more power never hurts. I'll let some others make the suggestions.

Case doesnt make too much a difference. Almost any ATX Mid-Tower would do.

Raid is for multiple HD's, unnessasary for you.
If you buy a new HD, get a SATA 3.0
DVD-Burners run for 30$. Go OEM, Retail isnt needed.
Your also going to need to re-install an Operating System.

Its obvious YOU work at a "local computer store"
I think you may be at the wrong site here...

Other options...
GeIL Ultra 2GB DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) $220
Case 1 $35
Case 2 $30 shipped

PSU...
All the specs say between 26 and 30 Amps are needed on the +12V rail...
And while I am LOATHE to suggest an Antec over an FSP, at this level the Antec is a better choice...
Antec NeoHE 430W $80
