Ok "freakin' n008" Humored?
Make sure the SATA drives are plugged into ports 1 and 2 on the board. Also check to see if the motherboard supports SATA 2.0. If so, set the jumpers on the drives to this. Jumpers are on the back of a hard drive or disk drive. You pull them out with a needle noise and put back in to their respectful spots.
Yes, the drives need power. You almost can't screw up connections because they are keyed, meaning they're made to fit for specific purposes and/or they have a different size.
No RAID needed for the use of two drives. RAID is a whole other animal, but can have a benefit.

When you first start your computer make sure you go into BIOS (Press F2 for most motherboards, read manual if not) and see if SATA is the first boot device in the boot order. If not select and move up the list, press enter and then exit BIOS. It will ask you to save and exit say yes of course. |

The cable is one of the ones coming from the drive bay in this picture http://www.newegg.com/Product/ShowIm...ase+%2D+Retail
It's about an inch out of reach.
What should I do? I read some of the reviews of the case, and other people had this problem too.
Other than connecting the audio cable, I think the only thing left I have to do is connect the DVD and 3.5 cables, and I'm pretty confused about how to do that (Question 2), if someone wants to help me out...
Thanks, guys. | I've never heard of one not being long enough...are you sure there's no way to route it that it will reach? |

Yeah, I'm pretty sure. Here's the link to the case: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811112099
This might be a solution:
As you can barely see http://www.newegg.com/Product/ShowIm...ase+%2D+Retail
there are smaller cables coming out of the end of the cable, on the side that doesn't connect into the motherboard...they're labeled, "L-Out, R-Out, MIC-POWER" etc, and they can reach the F-AUDIO where I need to put the cable in...uh, I'm guessing if I connect them the proper way, they're there in case the larger cable doesn't reach...anyone know what I'm talking about or can confirm this?
In the manual for my motherboard it lists what pins need to go where on the AUDIO-F slot.
The picture in the manual and what the cable looks like: http://tinypic.com/view/?pic=4326n2c
Someone tell me if I'm right. If I am...the problem is, there are 7 little cables on the audio cable, and only 5 (That aren't listed NC or No pin) in the book. There are two little cables, on the audio cable, which are unlisted in the manual. And NC stands for No connection, or something, right?
Am I right in thinking this?

you don't need jumpers for the hard drive since it is sata
for the DVD drive look at the back of the drive, there should be a set of 6 pins and 2 have a jumper on them, make sure it is on the ones labeled master (MA)
there is a picture of the back with the jumper labeled on the newegg link for the drive if that will help
as far as conncecting the cables, they are keyed so there is only 1 way to put them

"you don't need jumpers for the hard drive since it is sata"
There is for speed.
OP, disk drives have jumpers for slave, master or cable select.
Yours should be Master for the DVD drive and slave for the Floppy.

Make damn sure the USB headers on the front will match. Meaning that the USB contacts for the wire connection are right. Because if they're not and you plug a USB device in, ZAPO! Good by mother board.
Your audio and USB connections should be where I point to in the picture. It's very hard to see the picture, but most are located on that side. When the board is installed they will be at the bottom of the case. Imagine the board's orientation when installed into the case.
BTW, to post images here look at the "manage attachments" link when posting. You will see it at the bottom. For image editing like I have done I'm using PhotoFiltre
