Buying New Computer!

Hey,

I'm new to this site so I don't know if this is where I should be posting htis but anyways hopefully you guys can help me out. I need a new computer. I can wait a little longer but I just got this deal.

I can get this computer for $550 Canadian. I will be using it for mostly gaming. Such as Civilization 4, Medieval II: Total War, and some other high end strategy games, also some games like FIFA 07 and sports games. I just want to know if this computer is good for that. I am aware that I will need to update the graphics card, but it's like that with any computer anyways. But will the system itself be good for what I want? Is it fast? Can anyone give me some insight? I can only buy it tommorow so if anyone can give me some suggestions and some oppions I'd really appreciate it. Also, what is better for gaming, this computer, or and Intel Core 2 duo or Amd 64 X2, and why?

You're not going to be gaming with that Intel onboard graphics. You'll need to check for a PCI-E slot and if the power supply is beefy enough to handle a new graphics card.

My money is on the Core 2 Duo chip right now. Fast, runs cool and overclockable if you're into that.

Don't know what $550 translates to in US $'s, but it's not a *bad* PC.
