Well another small update folks....I came into work today to finish up the hell computer. I was able to properly format and copy the setup files of Win2k onto the drive. I was exstatic. Once the setup files are copied..it restarts to take you to the graphical setup of Win2k. Well...it wouldn't boot into the setup!!! The cursor would just sit there forever!!!
SO once again I had to look for a workaround. After sifting through stupid microsoft's site, I found an article on how to create a boot disk when that allows you to boot into the OS when you're having booting troubles (yes those be lots of boots ) Anyway, I copied the necessary files from another Win2k machine(ntldir and ndetect.com and created Boot.ini) and booted from it and now its working...lord!!!! What is this things problem! I guess I have to calm down and look at it from a learning standpoint.
Otherwise I might just go postal |
