AO-Hell IE browser homepage hijack help

I D/l'd "hijack this" and removed the browser redirect line to h t t p://hp-desktop.aol.com. It still will not take a "curent page" setting as home page. Registry hosed?

Do you have the IE settings locked, using Spybot S&D or another utility?

if thats a pre-built hp machine then its likely something built into the registry
