Server question

I have just connected a new server to a network.
What are some of the things that I would have to setup on the server so that I can connect other computers to the network.

What kind of server are we talking?

Windows, ftp, ssh, linux, file sharing, printing?

We need more info

Windows 2003 Server, file sharing, and printing, and ftp. There about 10 other computers beside the server. Using TCP/IP.
anything else.

Doing search for windows 2003 file sharing or printer sharing should give you all the info you need

I can't wait to get this house rewired and have my Command Central room have control of everything (including file/backup server). That'll be 3 puters in this 8x10 room; i'm going to need an air conditioner this summer!!
