Prince, you can either run > msconfig & uncheck un-needed things from the startup tab, or you can use a program called CCleaner.

I didn't say it sucks, I said it should perform better without needing a 4ghz C2D behind it. At stock speeds with a stock cpu, this card should be able to beat a 7900GS/GT, IMO. But the Anandtech shows it can't do that.

The GTS can though, so it would be a good card for someone that isn't gonna push it to the absolute edge (like someone I know around here).

Edit: Make that 4.1ghz. HOLY COW !!! Didn't realise you pushed that far. I'll be lucky to bench at 3.9.

Add remove programs isnt finding what I need to remover. And also i hear windows unisntaller isnt a totally clean uninstall. Wether thats true or not I'm not sure.

just did a quick run , it says it is a partial score cause i dont have a cd rom pluged in . but i scored 1012 @ 3.2ghz card @ 660/950

CD doesn't add much, I'd estimate your score to be about 1100 or less.

Have you checked what's in the Start--> All Programs--> Startup list...?

I wonder what's gonna limit me first. I'm guessing heat. It's running a little warm at 3.61Ghz, but I wanted to see what the score would be

But, another new score for me. I'm really wanting to score 600, then I'll give up..

How hot is it running? Smithfields and Prescotts can take serious heat compared to other processors.
