G/F Laptop

Hey guys, wondering if you could help me and the girlfriend figure something out.

For her bday she got a laptop, funny thing is, it's the same as mine lol.

Well when she shuts the lid, the computer's suppose to go into hibernation. But when she opens the lid, the screen stays off, but the computer is still on.


What could be doing this? Mine doesn't have that problem, and I've checked the power settings and everything, it still does it.

It's an ACER Aspire 5610Z btw

Maybe the BIOS settings are over-riding the windows settings? Or it could be that Acer has its own power management software installed and over-riding?
