    router & services

     
    When I have Windows Firewall/Internet Connection Sharing running my computer freezes up when changing webpages alot. If I disable that I lose connection, I have two computers set up on a router. I know that this service is the cause of the freeze ups, but it's address or connection sharing is keeping me connected. Is there any other service I can use that will do this so I can disable this service?

    If you have a router, you shouldn't need to run ICS.
    Imagine a world where dogs took bad owners to the pound...

    I was thinking the same thing myself, I don't know why it disconnects when I disable it. I can only guess that one of the other services I have disabled my be needed, and that ICS could be taking it's place in keeping me connected.
